Meadow Awarded 3rd Best Place to Work in Oregon

Meadow Outdoor Advertising is proud to announce that we have been awarded the 3rd best small business to work in Oregon by Oregon Business Magazine! This is the fourth year in a row that Meadow has ranked in the top 25 for best small businesses to work for in Oregon. We are dedicated to creating a positive work environment, by prioritizing the well-being and satisfaction of our employees so that we can better serve our clients!

We strive every day to live out our company values of honesty, compassion, and treating one another like family. We also do our best to communicate efficiently and effectively because we believe that “clear is kind”. We believe that open dialogue and collaboration lead to the best outcomes for our clients and employees alike.

To reinforce our sense of community, we host monthly all-company Zoom meetings and annual in-person gatherings at our office in The Dalles, Oregon. These gatherings provide an opportunity for us to share ideas, celebrate our achievements together, and do some team bonding in and out of the office. During our annual meetings in June, in addition to having productive discussions, we also create a fun company music video to commemorate the occasion, showcasing the camaraderie within our team.

Meadow also established a wellness committee that helps to keep all our employees healthy. The wellness committee has converted one of our unoccupied offices into a home gym with weights, a Peloton bike, and a rowing machine! Every quarter a wellness newsletter is sent our to all employees with wellness tips, recipes, and other health-related information. To further promote wellness, we invite guest speakers to share insights on various aspects of well-being. Recently, we had the privilege of hosting the owner of Cell Regen in Hood River, Oregon, who discussed alternative methods of healing and medicine. Each employee also has a scholarship of $250 to spend on wellness-related expenses.

Meadow believes that personal and professional growth go hand in hand. We incentivize our employees to participate in programs such as the Smart Dollar program by Dave Ramsey, which provides valuable guidance on budgeting and money management. Additionally, we regularly engage in book club activities, reading books like "The Checklist Manifesto" by Atul Gawande, to enhance our performance at work.

We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer a flexible work environment. Our main company office, situated along the scenic Columbia River Gorge, provides each employee with a private office, ensuring a comfortable and productive workspace. Moreover, we offer the option for employees to work from home when needed, allowing them to maintain a healthy work-life integration.
