Meadow Outdoor Blows Out Billboard Maintenance Goal For 2023
Meadow is committed to being good neighbors to our lessors and the communities we are in, as well as providing a high-quality product for our clients. A large part of both is making sure our billboards are safe and in pristine condition. This includes the laborious task of maintaining every one of our hundreds of billboards, the majority of which are completed by our maintenance and installation crews.
This work often goes unseen but is so vital to the company that we like to spotlight the crew’s work when we can. Meadow is committed to structure care and keeping obstructions out of the approach to a billboard so it can be read clearly. Our crews take pride in making needed repairs or upgrades as fast as possible.
These maintenance jobs range in scale from a quick paint job to the construction of a new structure, a process that from start to finish can take months or years. Meadow’s maintenance tasks include:
- Painting or replacing sign skirts
- Painting billboard poles & beams
- Repairing lights
- Trimming trees
- Replacing wooden back panels with steel panels
- Raising billboard structures to avoid obstructions
- Converting old structures to new, safer designs
- Enlarging existing signs
- Moving or removing existing billboard signs
- New billboard construction
- Digital billboard conversion
A few examples of these activities are shown in these photos. One billboard in Idaho had graffiti on the skirt. A team member pointed it out, our operations admin issued a work order, and the skirt was repainted so that the client’s message could shine without interference.
